We will send an invoice to the email address that you have provided quoting your purchase order number.
Payment will be required before we can ship.
Terms of supply and delivery of pMTL80000 series plasmids and bacterial strains
Chain Biotechnology Ltd acts as an agent for the University of Nottingham in the sale and distribution of the modular vector set and accompanying strains. The order will be sent by registered post. No guarantees are made for the delivery date although CHAIN Biotech aims to process and deliver orders within 10 days for UK Customers and 2 weeks for those outside of the UK.
Acceptance of delivery
The goods may be returned to CHAIN Biotech within 5 days of receipt if the product is unopened and unused. Opening of the product and/or failure to return the kit within 5 days of receipt will equate to product acceptance and the terms of payment and use below will apply.
For Commercial Users – having paid a commercial rate
There are no requirements for an MTA and once accepted, as per the Acceptance of delivery terms above, there are no restrictions on its use or further development or the company’s own commercial purposes, with no licence fee or reach-through by CHAIN or the University of Nottingham.
For Academic Users – having paid the academic rate
There are no requirements for an MTA and once accepted, as per the Acceptance of delivery terms above, there are no restrictions on its use or further development for academic (non-profit) purposes. The Recipient may publish the results of their use in any Research Project, provided that any publication shall acknowledge Prof Nigel Minton of the University of Nottingham as the original source of the Materials and all research publications to reference the following paper: “A modular system for Clostridium shuttle plasmids; John T. Heap 1, Oliver J. Pennington 1, Stephen T. Cartman, Nigel P. Minton Journal of Microbiological Methods 78 (2009) 79–85).”
For all Users, there shall be no transfer to third parties without the written agreement of The University of Nottingham.
For EU Users
Representations or Warranties
The Materials are experimental in nature, so no representations or warranties are given as to the title, quality or fitness for purpose of the Material supplied or that its use will not infringe third party intellectual property rights.
In requesting the Material for Commercial use the Recipient acknowledges and agrees that except as expressly prohibited by law, the University and its agents shall have no liability for any loss or damage of whatever nature relating to or arising from such supply. By agreeing to purchase the pMTL80000 series plasmids and strains, the Recipient agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the University from any third-party claims relating to the recipient’s commercial use of the material.
